MOUSEFEST REGISTRATION HAS BEGUN
Yes, registration for MouseFest 2008 has begun! Please show your support for MouseFest (and help underwrite its cost) by registering for this year's event. Registered attendees get all sorts of great benefits for a very modest investment, so I encourage you to go over to the MouseFest.org web site to read more about it! http://www.mousefest.org/register/
Although registration has only been online for about 18 hours, more than 130 folks have already registered! I think this is very cool, and I hope you do, too!
NEW KICK-OFF RECEPTION AT THE CONTEMPORARY
We've added a great, new benefit to this year's registration -- a MouseFest Kick-off Reception at Disney's Contemporary Resort and Convention Center. Light refreshments will be served, too!
NEW LOCATION FOR MOUSEFEST 101
Last year's opening MouseFest Land events, MouseFest 101 and the Chairman's Kick-off, were so popular that we overflowed the space we had "borrowed" in the Magic Kingdom. So, this year, to make sure we have a secure roof over our heads and room for all, we're moving those events to convention space at Disney's Contemporary Resort, just a short walk or monorail ride from Thursday's Park of the Day, Magic Kingdom. MouseFest 101 continues to be a free event, open to all regardless of whether they've registered for MouseFest!

There's all sorts of other important MouseFest information to share. While it has already appeared in previous newsletters, I'm repeating it here for everyone new to the newsletter list, and for the convenience of everyone who has already seen it.
NEW LOCATION AND TIME FOR THE MEGA MOUSE MEET
The Mega Mouse Meet, MouseFest's biggest single event, is moving to Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resort Convention Center! That puts Saturday's big event even closer to the Park of the Day action at Epcot. We're also trying something new this year – we're starting Mega Mouse Meet earlier in the day so that there's more continuous time for other meets at Epcot, Saturday's park of the day. This is how the day looks:
Mega Mouse Meet – Saturday, December 13, 2008
10:00 am-11:00 am -- Mega Mouse Meet "Extra MouseFest Hour" for registered MouseFest attendees
11:00 am – 1:00 pm -- Mega Mouse Meet opens to all
1:00 pm – park closing -- Epcot Park of the Day activities

This year's MouseFest Mega Mouse Meet will be held at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resort Convention Center, and MouseFest has arranged a special discounted guest room rate at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts! Stay at the heart of MouseFest action! Nestled along the shores of Crescent Lake, you're within walking distance of Disney's BoardWalk entertainment district, a leisurely stroll from Epcot®, and a short boat ride away from Disney's Hollywood Studios™.
Special Bonus: for all reservations of two or more nights, all registered guests in the room will receive FREE MouseFest registration** provided by the MouseFest organization.
Our special rate is available anytime between Thursday, December 11h through Sunday, December 14 subject to availability (when they're gone, they're gone!). Pay $243/night plus 12.5% tax for a "run-of-house" room (Standard View or better based on availability) at these deluxe resorts. Pre/post nights and other room categories may be offered/available at a comparable discount. To qualify for this rate, reservations must be made by Friday Oct 31, 2008.
Payments info: a deposit of 1 night room & tax will be required to secure your reservation. Final balance is due by 10/31/08. Due to contract obligations for the Mega Mouse Meet venue, cancellation after final payment up to 8 days prior will result in loss of deposit. Cancellation 7 days or less and no shows will not be eligible for a refund.
